It is so straight forward that acting rational is to do the right thing.<br /><br />Did you know that acting rationally is actually doing the right thing for yourself not to other people?? For instance you bought a house, and you have to renovate it thus there will be disturbances to people that neighboring around you so is this rational??<br /><br />The answers are: Yes, you are rational because you renovate the house to have a better living for yourself and your family but we cannot avoid the disturbances that will bring to the neighborhood (Ethical). Conclusively, there are actually 2 answers for the question which are rational and ethical. Unfortunately, i am not going much into ethical topic today.<br /><br />Come back to rational. I found myself to be silly asking people to be rational when i was not. Let me justify: people has different <strong>interest, desire, </strong>and<strong> reason</strong> for something. People might have a common interest for other reason And people might have common desire for different reason also. For example: Getting a girl friend! It's life to have a girl friend and maybe to get married and to produce baby and to get old together till the end of the life. Do you think every guy out there getting a girl friend for the same reason?<br /><br />Just for example:<br /><br />INTEREST: Why are you so interested with her??<br />DESIRE: Are you feeling lonely?<br />REASON: What is your purpose of getting her?<br /><br />Common Interest: pretty girl, caring, good personality, sporting, and bla bla bla<br />Reason of guy# 1 : to get with her till the end of the life<br />Reason of guy# 2 : to sleep with her and dump her<br /><br />Common Desire: I want her to fulfill my desire (SEX)!<br />Reason of guy #1 : I want to have sex with her because i love her and i wanna be with her always<br />Reason of guy#2 : I want to have sex with her because she's hot and bitchy!<br /><br />As you can see: people acts rationally to their own interest. In other words, they are doing the right thing because they do something for a reason that at the end of the day with a result but ethics will determine that right or wrong.<br /><br />So when do you think you can voice out that that person is irrational?<br />In my opinion, when that person is in unsound mind situation where he cannot even choose what's best for him! driving home himself VS someone drives him home.<br /><br />Conclusion, rational is present when people do something for interest, desire, and for a reason of their own.<br /><br />*Just my opinions, and if you have any comments please just keep it to yourself because this is not an arguement post!<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/1927007531431541792-7935555793814304196?l=davidkwong.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>Bearhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05954579683402802483noreply@blogger.com0
